They were the glitterati of the yesteryears, wowing audiences of all ages with their beauty and talent alike. Decades later, we wonder what have become of these once-shining stars. While there are some that are still very much visible in movies to this day, there are others who are now comfortable in retirement. Some can even claim to have just as much drama in their personal lives as the roles that they once played, be it in the guise of divorce or alcoholism. Regardless of where they are now, these stars of yore can all say for certain that they enjoyed their high net worth and success to the fullest.

Barbara Eden – 87 years old

I Dream of Jeannie is, without a doubt, one of the most popular and iconic series of all time. Of course, this was largely in part to Barbara Eden who brought to life the titular role of Jeannie and made her a true female icon. After the series ended, Barbara continued to act for some time until taking retirement in the 70s.

Most impressively, however, the University of West Los Angeles awarded her a university degree as a Doctor of Laws. Barbara has also penned an autobiography, Jeannie Out of the Bottle that details the interesting ups and downs of her life.

Elinor Donahue – 83 Years Old

The American heartthrob, Elinor Donahue, is renowned for her incredible performances in several blockbuster hits of the 20th century. Her most notable work is the role she played as Betty Anderson in the 1950’s sitcom, ‘Father Knows Best.’

If you are wondering what the luminary is doing now, for an 83-year-old, she is doing just great! Elinor is married to Lou Genevrino since 1992, and she is also a mother of four grown-up children. With the fame and fortune she has rightfully earned for herself, we are sure this star is hale and hearty after her retirement.

Julie Andrews – 83 years old

It’s an understatement that Julie Andrews is a gifted actress. Who else would have made their movie debut in the wildly popular movie Mary Poppins and won an Academy Award for it? After many popular movies and entertaining many generations of fans, the art hasn’t left Julie and Julie certainly hasn’t left the art. She has was last credited for voicing a character in the animated movie Despicable Me 3. Although she has slowed down, there is no stopping this award winning actress.
