After losing his first wife, Joe Biden wasn’t having it until he was introduced to Jill Biden in 1975 by his brother, who was anxious to get his sibling back out in the world of dating after his tragic loss.

The newly-introduced duo’s relationship started off on the right foot, yet Joe had to propose five times before Jill finally considered and accepted his request. It was within the Yale University walls that Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton met in 1971. The former president immediately saw something he never wanted to part ways with and did the one knee thing. History has is that it took Bill three proposals to win over the ex-Secretary of States, now that’s something!

Four years later, they exchanged marital vows and have since then overcome every single trial that came personally or politically to destroy their marriage. Forty-six today and this duo still look like they just got married. Definitely our kind of couple!
