Ever so often, we hear that our favorite celebrity couple has broken up or called their divorce lawyers to legally call it quits and it just ruins our day. Think Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt or Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Of course, it’s a sad event made even worse when family lawyers are involved and the parents fight for the custody of their children.

And yet, there are plenty of stars who have stayed together for a long time and weathered many storms together. Sure, marriage is a gamble, and there are many times when one feels like loading their U-Haul and moving out, but in the end… love wins! That’s why it’s so heartening to hear of long-lasting marriages and relationships, which certainly is not the norm in Hollywood.

Here are some celebrity couples who have us rooting for them.

Tina Turner – In a relationship with Erwin Bach for 32 Years

Tina Turner, the singer of hits like ‘Private Dancer’ and ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’ is a legendary singer, who may be 80-years-old now, but she can still rock any stage you give her, with her powerful voice. She has been married twice before and it was sad for us to read in her memoir, titled “I, Tina” that her second husband, musician Ike Turner, used to abuse her physically.

It must have taken Tina a long time to open herself to another relationship after her 14 year marriage to Ike ended. Thankfully, in 1985, she met Erwin Bach, a record production executive, at a party and they clicked instantly. And so, after being together for 18 years, they finally got married in 2013 in a Buddhist ceremony in Switzerland. Bach may be 16 years younger than Tina, but that hardly matters when love is concerned.
