Ever so often, we hear that our favorite celebrity couple has broken up or called their divorce lawyers to legally call it quits and it just ruins our day. Think Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt or Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Of course, it’s a sad event made even worse when family lawyers are involved and the parents fight for the custody of their children.

The hit series ‘Game of Thrones’ gifted Kit Harington fame, fortune, and his future wife, Rose Leslie. They met on the sets of George RR Martin’s fantasy ‘HBO’ offering in 2011. As the characters they played on-screen – Jon Snow and the wildling Ygritte fell in love, the couple also developed feelings for each other off-screen.

After dating for seven years, Kit married Rose at a church in Scotland in an ethereal wedding attended by their co-stars from the show, other close pals, and family. Fans of the duo waited patiently outside the venue to catch a glimpse of the stunning bride and groom. With the arrival of their son in 2021, their bond has only deepened.

Mitch McConnell and Elaine Chao – 29 Years

When Mitch McConnell’s first image ended after 12 years, he thought that he wouldn’t find love again. Yet, he met Elaine Chao in 1993, and the two immediately clicked. The American businesswoman met McConnel as she was interested in politics, and she later became the Secretary of Labor and later the Secretary of Transportation.

Chao has been supportive of her husband, attending several events with him and alone in the two years prior to the 2014 U.S. Senate elections. Her father also gave McConnell a personal gift in 2008 after Chao’s mother passed away and her fortune was estimated to be between $5 and $25 million.
