Elizabeth McGovern of ‘Downton Abbey’ fame permanently moved to the UK after meeting her director husband, Simon Curtis. The pair met on the set of ‘Racing with the Moon,’ when McGovern was just 22. Their connection was instant, and after eight years of dating, the lovebirds decided to tie the knot in 1992; they have been happily married ever since.
The doting pair are proud parents to their children, Matilda and Grace, who are now in their 20s. McGovern and Curtis always wanted their kids to have a more normal upbringing and have chosen to shelter them from the spotlight as much as possible.
