Publishing a cookbook was a real step-up from publishing a popular blog, but for Ree, a writer and photographer, it was an easy transition. It wasn’t long before she was approached by The Food Network to talk about creating her own show. This was something that Ree really wrestled with as it was an entirely different world and she wasn’t sure how well she did previously would translate on TV. After mulling it over for some time, Ree finally went for it, which turned out to be a very good decision, indeed, as her show, The Pioneer Woman, is one of the network’s most successful and well-watched.
