No doubt, The Pioneer Woman became a household name because of Ree’s mouthwatering food posts and easy-to-follow, delicious recipes. However, this was never actually part of the plan as Ree just wanted to write about her life on the ranch. During this time, she was teaching herself photography and had run out of subjects, so she took photos of the gorgeous steak that she was cooking for her husband Ladd, that evening. The response, as we all know by now, was more than favorable. This led to Ree publishing an entire recipe section on her blog, which naturally led to a cookbook deal.
