Despite his undeniable love for acting and having a dad that could easily get him into the TV and film industry, Mason Gooding’s father, Cuba Gooding Jr., didn’t allow him to pursue professional acting until he was 18. When he finally started successfully auditioning for roles during his junior year in college, Mason dropped out of school, got himself an agent, and went into full time acting.
This budding thespian’s bold move quickly paid off, as he got his first major acting gig on HBO’s ‘Ballers,’ a first among many other onscreen roles. Mason has since been in several movies including ‘Booksmart’ directed by Olivia Wilde, which is quite impressive if we’re asked.
