Statues To Honor Our Heroes

Also, statues and sculptures are often erected to honor important individuals or events, symbolically representing their significance to the surrounding environment. In the valley of the Andes mountain range, there stands a statue commemorating the arriero, Catalán, who found Parrado and Canessa. He became a significant and symbolic figure in this story, and there is a dedicated section in his honor.
