The names of the 16 survivors are José Pedro Algorta, Roberto Canessa, Alfredo Delgado, Daniel Fernández, Roberto François, Roy Harley, José Luis Inciarte, Álvaro Mangino, Javier Methol, Fernando Parrado, Carlos Páez Rodríguez, Ramón Sabella, Adolfo Strauch, Eduardo Strauch, Antonio Vizintín, and Gustavo Zerbino. All of them have moved forward in life.
Fifty years after what happened, they built families and pursued their respective professions. Many have dedicated themselves to writing books, conferences, and coaching on the subject worldwide. Studies have shown that survivors often develop strong bonds with fellow survivors, forming lasting connections and support systems that help them cope with the aftermath of the tragedy.
