The “Miracle of the Andes” is a granite and steel sculpture created by the American sculptor Jeffrey Breslow. Upon learning about this story, he was deeply moved and decided to dedicate this sculpture to it. The statue was donated for the commemoration on October 13, 2022. It represents “Those on Earth and Those in Heaven.”
Artists like Breslow use various materials and techniques to create three-dimensional artworks, shaping and molding their vision into tangible forms. On one side are 16 stones symbolizing the survivors; on the other, 29 represent the deceased individuals. These stones are suspended at a height and sway gently in the wind, creating a graceful motion.
