In Memoriam

The families of all the airplane passengers built a black obelisk near the accident site as a tribute to the survivors and those who perished under various circumstances. The Viven Foundation was established to support organ donation. The relatives felt a powerful need to perpetuate the memory of the victims and the bravery of the Andes tragedy survivors.

In pursuit of this cause, they initiated these projects in Uruguay to aid society in various endeavors. The construction of the obelisk and the establishment of the Viven Foundation reflect the profound impact of the Andes catastrophe on the families of both survivors and victims.
