Of the 45 individuals aboard the plane, it’s devastating that 13 of them tragically perished upon impact. And as the remaining survivors braved extreme conditions, including temperatures plummeting to -30 degrees Celsius, an additional four individuals succumbed to the harsh environment.
On the tenth night, an unforeseen avalanche cascaded onto the wreckage, causing turmoil among those sleeping inside. Eight people were asphyxiated at that moment, adding to the growing number of casualties. These circumstances were intensely challenging, as they tested the limits of human resilience. And after an arduous period of 72 days, 16 survivors emerged from this harrowing ordeal.
