Microchipping The Reptile For Tracking Purposes
After successfully removing the coolbox and suturing the wound, the vet wrapped up the surgery. However, the healing process for the animal was only beginning. And to ensure the anaconda’s well-being and prevent future mishaps, a microchip was implanted beneath its skin for tracking purposes, monitoring the snake’s movements and progress during its healing period.
As it was impractical to confine such a huge snake in a traditional cage for observation, the microchipped anaconda was left within its natural habitat in the rainforest. Fortunately, the anaconda showed promising signs of recovery, thanks to the diligent care it received.
