Steve McQueen – Ford Mustang, ~ $3 million to $5 million
In 1968, actor and filmmaker Steve McQueen starred in and directed the movie Bullitt, which had him cruising down the streets of San Francisco in a Ford Mustang. Steve fell in love with the car and wanted to buy it, but it was instead sold off by the studio to an insurance executive who hid it in his garage for almost 40 years.
It was later discovered by his son and he might as well have won a lottery as the car is now worth anywhere between $3 million to $5 million, even though it is not in running condition! Poor Steve had even written a letter to the new owner wanting to buy the car, but he did not agree to sell.
