Without a doubt, Prince Philip had a soft spot for Land Rovers. He had been pictured severally in a Freelander and a Land Rover Discovery, and in his much-publicized crash which he escaped unhurt, you can guess what car he was driving – a Land Rover!
We can’t blame him. After all, these are known for their performance and durability; no road is impossible with these sturdy vehicles. Then again, the model is also a sign of British resilience, and as a member of the royal family, it’s easy to see why he always picked the Rover.
