George Foreman — Inventor and entrepreneur
Back in the 70s up until the 90s, George Foreman was best known as a world champion in boxing and an Olympian. Eventually, he went into retirement from the sport. He hasn’t rested on his laurels and large bank account, however and instead, he went on to invent a cutting-edge grill that is purportedly a healthier option to mainstream cookery. After getting investments for his invention, he was able to launch the George Foreman Grill. The patent and trademark alone already earned him a massive $138 million. Today, the grill keeps selling like hotcakes.
