The romantic tale of Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford is one for the ages. Before falling in love as adults, the pair had been pen buddies as kids. Tabloids claimed that Mumford proposed to her in July 2011 when they were on holiday in Somerset, England, the same place where they would eventually be married a year later.
“The Great Gatsby” actress quickly realized she had met her match. They only dated for a month before taking matters to a whole different level. Mulligan reportedly relocated to the United Kingdom in March 2011 to be closer to Mumford, who was then living there.
