Two decades after their first meeting on the set of the spy thriller “Spooks,” Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes were ready to reconvene for another ITV drama. The real-life pair, who met in 2002 and wed in 2004, played former Labour minister John Stonehouse and his spouse Barbara in the film “Stonehouse,” which tells the narrative of Stonehouse’s fall from grace after a series of scandals that made headlines.
Once, Hawes told Hello! magazine that she considers it “enraging” when others question when they encountered each other considering their hectic schedules. As of 2022, the couple has raised kids Maggie, Ralph, and Myles, Keeley’s son, with ex-husband Spencer McCallum.
