Vanessa Redgrave is one of the most distinguished actresses of the 60’s and 70’s with a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award to her credit for her performance in Julia. She is now 81 years old, yet still look beautiful for her image, exuding plenty of class and quiet elegance. Indeed, it’s easy to imagine that her daughter, actress Natasha Richardson, would’ve grown older like Vanessa if only she didn’t pass away prematurely in 2009 at just age 45 from a tragic personal injury after a skiing accident. She is best remembered for her performances in Gothic, 1990’s The Handmaid’s Tale, and The Parent Trap, as well as for being the wife of actor Liam Neeson. Although she probably had a hefty life insurance to her name, it can never compensate for the loss of such a shining star.
