Humane Foods That Can Be Fatal To Dogs

Rhubarb & Tomato Leaves – Kidney & Nervous System Damage

If you have a garden with vegetables, be on the lookout when your dogs are playing outside. They are extremely sensitive to some plants and vegetables. This is exactly the case with tomato and rhubarb leaves and stems.

They are not safe for canine consumption as they contain a substance called oxalates, which can actually cause serious damage to their kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, and nervous system. Some of the symptoms can be tremors, drooling, vomiting, bloody urine, and diarrhea. So, save yourself a trip to the vet and the scare, and fence your vegetable garden.
