These days, we know of celebrity deaths almost as soon as they happen, thanks to the speed with which information is disseminated via internet and social media. Every so often, however, a celebrity dies well under the radar and we don’t hear about it until much, much later.

For many decades, American singer, actress, and dancer Jane Powell gifted the world with excellence using her unique talents. The star of some of Hollywood’s most loved golden age musicals enriched her career with passion and professionalism of the highest order. No wonder fans across the world became sad upon hearing the news of her sudden demise.
Born in Portland, Oregon, in the 1930s, Jane was 92 at the time of her passing. No doubt, the well-loved actress will always be remembered through her notable works, which include numerous hit musicals from the ’40s ’50s like ‘Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, ‘Opposite Howard Keel’, and ‘Royal Brothers’. Jane is survived by her three lovely children and two grandchildren.
