Although Richard Griffiths was best known for appearing in the Harry Potter movies as Harry’s detestable Uncle Vernon, he actually had a rather long and illustrious career, appearing in several films and plays and even winning a Tony award. At 65, he underwent heart surgery and passed away soon after due to complications.
