In an event that surprised no one, Fast Times at Ridgemont High star Phoebe Cates met an actor on the sets of a movie she was auditioning for (The Big Chill) and they fell in love. That actor was none other than Kevin Kline, from the movies Sophie’s Choice and The Pink Panther. He even decided to hire her former secretary so that she could introduce them. Aww!
In 1989, the 25-year-old actress married the 41-year-old actor and the rest was history. After they had their kids, Owen and Greta, Cates decided to quit Hollywood and become a stay-at-home-mom to handle all the child care responsibilities. Now that their kids are in their 20s and have moved out of their family home, Phoebe and Kevin have more time to focus on themselves.
