When Miss USA, Chelsi Smith, was crowned Miss Universe in 1995, she ended USA’s losing streak in the competition that went on for 15 years. Smith worked as a model, TV personality, and even recorded a single after her stint as Miss Universe. Sadly in September 8, 2018, Smith passed away from liver cancer.
