William Scott Goldberg may be a familiar name to sports fans, and not just fans of wrestling. This is due to the fact that before joining the WCW, Goldberg was a professional football player who was drafted in the 1990 season of the NFL. Over the years, his body had suffered many injuries and even with the help of doctors and physical therapy, his pelvic injury did not allow Goldberg to play professional football. Next, he turned his sights on wrestling and became one of the most famous wrestlers of his generation. He is now retired and even tried his hand at acting, being featured in the movie Universal Soldier: The Return and Family Guy.
