Talk about life imitating art. Actress Nikki Blonsky rose to fame playing the role of Tracy in the 2007 production of Hairspray. Unfortunately, the acting jobs sent her way soon dried up and she was forced to find another source of income to avoid bankruptcy. She then attended cosmetology school, which led to her current career as a hairstylist and makeup artist. She may spend most of her time shampooing customers and being more concerned about hair color, but she evidently hasn’t lost her drive as an actress as she still goes to auditions.
