Jeanine Pirro’s biggest foray into the public eye was in 1986 when she was chosen to be the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor in New York, which she withdrew from just a day before the nominations. However, her career started well before that in the mid-70’s when she became assistant district attorney and later on, a court judge and district attorney. Thanks to her political expertise and often controversial statements, she guested in numerous shows for years until she was finally given her own shows to headline—first, Judge Jeanine Pirro on CW and later, Justice with Judge Jeanine on Fox News, which still airs to this day.
