A Slow Selfie
This is a lovely selfie that this woman got with the tortoise. We can’t imagine how long it would have taken her to get the perfect picture. We know how slow these reptiles can be. In fact, the fastest tortoise that made it to the Guinness World Record book still only managed to move 0.6 miles per hour.
This picture must be very rare, especially as the tortoise seems invested in posing for the camera. Tortoises can actually learn to recognize their caretakers because they are pretty smart. They will learn to associate them with safety and food and know their scent, sounds, and behavior.
