They Were the Stars of Yesterday, But You Won’t Believe What They’re Doing in Retirement

They were the glitterati of the yesteryears, wowing audiences of all ages with their beauty and talent alike. Decades later, we wonder what have become of these once-shining stars. While there are some that are still very much visible in movies to this day, there are others who are now comfortable in retirement. Some can even claim to have just as much drama in their personal lives as the roles that they once played, be it in the guise of divorce or alcoholism. Regardless of where they are now, these stars of yore can all say for certain that they enjoyed their high net worth and success to the fullest.

Lorenzo Lamas – 63

Wanting to be an artist since the age of five, Lorenzo Lamas pursued his studies in Tony Barr’s Film Actors’ Workshop and swiftly grabbed a TV acting role in 1976. Lamas was notable for his excellent roles on the 1981 CBS’ Falcon Crest as Lance Cumson, and Reno Raines in the hit show Renegade.

Aside from acting, Lamas spent most of his free time training martial arts in the early ’80s and earned a black belt in Taekwondo and Shotokan Karate. This probably explains his good
, robust body build even in his 60s.

Richard Chamberlain – 84 years old

In his autobiography titled Shattered Love, Richard admitted that he was gay. This fact about him certainly did not stop his lady fans from loving him. With his iconic roles as Jason Bourne in the original The Bourne Identity or as Aramis in The Three Muskateers, Richard cemented his place in Hollywood and never left. His last credited role was in 2018’s Nightmare Cinema.

Lauren Chapin – 75 Years

Most praised for her role on the American television show ‘Father Knows Best’ – actress Lauren Chapin is also a licensed evangelist and persistent fundraiser. Starting at the age of five, Lauren had an ever-lasting impression on our hearts with the portrayal of Kathy “Kitten” Anderson.

Alive and kicking in her late 70s, the philanthropist is involved in charity work and motivational speaking, while also managing and training artists. Lauren is also a published author of the memoir titled ‘Father Does Know Best.’ All the accomplishments of the star are indeed inspiring!
