The world came to a standstill with the news of Gavin MacLeod passing away in May 2021. Although no particular causes got reported, the sitcom veteran was ill for a long time. He spent his last days at his home in Palm Desert, California, among his near and dear ones.
Born and raised into a middle-class family, Gavin made a career in acting and rose to stardom in the ’70s with The Mary Tyler Moore Show. MacLeod’s career picked up from here, and the legendary star never stopped getting remarkable offers until his health didn’t allow him to act. He was indeed a brilliant actor and a humble human!
