Roderick George Toombs aka Rowdy Roddy Piper
Roddy Piper was very popular in the WWF, just like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. He earned the nicknames Hot Rod and Rowdy at the peak of his fame. Besides his ‘Scottish rage,’ Roddy Piper proudly displayed his Scottish heritage, having bagpipes playing when he made his dramatic entrance, donning his signature kilt. However, the wrestler born Roderick George Toombs, is really Canadian and not Scottish. Aside from wrestling, Roddy Piper was also successful when he pursued an acting career. He appeared in several movies and famous TV shows like The Highwayman, Highlander and RoboCop: The Series, and Adventure Time. The famous wrestler sadly passed away in his sleep in 2016 when he was 61 years old.
