When she left E! in December 2017 it made headlines and started the pay gap debate all over again. Having worked with the network for 12 years in entertainment news, she was being paid $600,000 a year while her male co-host’s gross income was $1-$1.2 million a year. According to her, they were “similarly situated” but according to the network the disparity was because of the company policy regarding seniority. She was favored in media over the issue of pay disparity and her move to walk out was considered to be bold, yet applauded by everyone.
