Samuel L. Jackson – Recovered Addict to Highest Grossing Actor
When Samuel L. Jackson was studying in college, he originally wanted to major in Marine Biology but eventually switched to Architecture. But the ‘acting calling’ persisted, and he finally switched to a Drama major. He starred in plays where Jackson admitted that in the later period, he suffered from alcoholism and drug addiction, and it affected his work. He moved to film, starring in several – in fact, he holds the title ‘highest grossing actor of all time’. The combined earnings of the movies he starred in is said to now be at $7.4 billion. When Marvel had to cast the role of SHIELD Director Nick Fury, there’s no question Samuel L. Jackson fit the part. He appeared in several Marvel movies including Iron Man and Avengers.
