What is the Capital of Maine?

Waterville; Portland; Augusta; Montpelier; 3
General James Edward Oglethorpe laid the foundation for the city of Augusta in 1736. The city’s lovely name, Augusta, was given in honor of Princess Augusta from Wales. They were referred to as “Pinch Gut” because most females who lived in the vicinity wore corsets.
