THEY WERE THE STARS OF YESTERDAY, BUT YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT THEY’RE DOING IN RETIREMENT

Nehemiah Persoff – 102 Years

With performances in over 200 films, TV shows, and plays to his credit, Persoff started his career by playing the “tough guy” in noir classics like Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘The Wrong Man’ and a gangster in the hit 1959 comedy ‘Some Like It Hot.’

The seasoned actor proved his versatile talent by shifting to lighter roles, best known as the role of ‘Papa’ in the 1983 musical drama ‘Yentl.’ The Jerusalem-born actor continued to make appearances in television till the ’80s, after which he entirely dedicated himself to this other passion, painting. It is unbelievable that this veteran still has unexplored reserves of talent as he became a published writer at the age of 102.
