Famous model Cheryl Rae Tiegs is sometimes dubbed as the first American supermodel and the iconic beauty can lay claim to that title effortlessly. Her first steps in her starry journey started back in high school when she posed for an ad which appeared in Seventeen and subsequently launched her career to unprecedented heights.
Tiegs has graced the covers of all magazines worth their salt including the likes of Glamour, Vogue and Sports Illustrated. She definitely influenced pop culture in the 70s and now she is an activist for healthy living, working as a spokeswoman for a program on women in transition.
