Meryl Streep – Married to Don Gummer for 41 Years
Merlyn was only 29 when she was mourning the loss of her then boyfriend and co-star from The Deer Hunter, John Cazale, who died when his cancer treatment failed. She found solace in sculptor Don Gummer, who was a friend of her brother’s. In fact, she stayed at his apartment while she was filming her hit movie Kramer Vs. Kramer.
After just 6 months of being together, Meryl and Don decided to get married and did so at a small ceremony at her parents’ garden. Today, after 41 years of marriage and after raising 4 kids together, the pair is still going strong and supporting each other in their respective careers.
