Anyone who’s ever hosted parties at home knows that once the guests have left, there’s usually a fair bit of cleaning to be done. In the case of Woodstock it really was no different – except cleaning up after half a million people requires more than just a big trash bin and a trip to the dumpster!
The morning after the festival had run its course and everyone had left, the state of poor Mr. Yasgur’s farm was far from commendable. Hippies may be supposed to be nature-loving people, but the trash they left behind indicated otherwise. No wonder Max, when asked to host next year’s festival, politely declined.
