The Best Royal Wedding Dresses

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – 2011

If you think the wedding of the newly-minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex was a grand one, you’ll be shocked to know that it paled in comparison to another British Royal Wedding just seven years beforehand—that of commoner Kate Middleton and Prince Harry’s older brother, Prince William. Of course, this can be expected as Prince William is second in line to the throne.

Kate, restyled as Catherine when she became Duchess, wore a creation from the atelier of famed British designer Alexander McQueen. The degree of attention given to even the tiniest detail was astounding with lace appliques depicting flowers native to Britain. It’s a real testament to the richness of the British empire and its excellent wealth management.
