Another royal wedding that really caught the eye of the public was when Monaco’s Prince Albert II married Charlene Wittstock, an Olympic swimmer from South Africa, who has since been given the title of Princess consort and Duchess of Monaco.
On her wedding day in 2011, Charlene wore a dress that fully displayed the bottomless bank account of the Monaco crown. It was created by Giorgio Armani out of a whopping 265 feet of silk organza and 165 feet of satin, and adorned with thousands upon thousands of Swarovski crystals and mother-of-pearl details.
