The ‘Tiny Dancer’ singer Elton John and his partner, Canadian filmmaker David Furnish have now been together for 25 years, but when they first met, things were not easy for same gendered couples. It was unheard of in those times, to have two men living conjugally, and marriage was out of the question as it was legalized yet.
Then the loving couple finally caught a break when Britain’s government eased their restrictions on same-gendered marriages.
