Matt Forte – Chicago, ~$4.1 million
Matt Forte is a true Chicago institution. He started his career in 2008 when he was drafted by the Chicago Bears for which he played until 2015. He then had a short stint with the New York Jets but chose to sign a one-day contract with the Bears in 2018 so he could go into retirement as part of his beloved team, along with his friend, Devin Hester. It’s no wonder, therefore, that he calls Chicago home.
He lives downtown in a stunning apartment that measures 9,000 square feet, valued at $4.1 million when he bought it back in 2015. With the help of his lawyer, he has since added another 1,137 square feet to the property, which, no doubt, has also driven up its value exponentially.
