Betty Lynn – 92 years old

Former actress Betty Lynn ticket to Hollywood was her voice, having been born to a mother who was a mezzo-soprano singer. At only 5 years old, Lynn was enrolled to study singing at the Kansas City Conservatory of Music. At 18 years, the singer-actress auditioned to be a part of the entertainment group of the United Service Organization. She was introduced in the world of acting through radio first, then she went on to star in Broadway musicals, and finally in films. Some of the films she’s starred in are Sitting Pretty, June Bride, and Cheaper by the Dozen. She found her way into television shows, but her biggest break came when she was cast to play Thelma Lou on The Andy Griffith Show. Lynn has retired from acting and now spends her days in her home at Mount Airy, North Carolina.
