These Famous Celebrity Couples are In It for the Long Haul
Ever so often, we hear that our favorite celebrity couple has broken up or called their divorce lawyers to legally call it quits and it just ruins our day. Think Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt or Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Of course, it’s a sad event made even worse when family lawyers are involved and the parents fight for the custody of their children.
And yet, there are plenty of stars who have stayed together for a long time and weathered many storms together. Sure, marriage is a gamble, and there are many times when one feels like loading their U-Haul and moving out, but in the end… love wins! That’s why it’s so heartening to hear of long-lasting marriages and relationships, which certainly is not the norm in Hollywood.

Tom Hanks – Married to Rita Wilson for 31 Years
When Oscar winning actor Tom Hanks of Forrest Gump fame, was fresh out a divorce from his first wife Samantha Lewis, he surprised a lot of people by quickly marrying another actress, Rita Wilson. Naysayers said that this union would, too, end in divorce, but Wilson and Hanks proved everybody wrong by staying together for 30 long years!
Rita and Tom met on the sets of a movie and it was pretty much sparks flying all around, and they’ve been inseparable ever since, even though many hardships. This couple says that they never fight, which is very hard to believe, although it must have been a tough time when Rita was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. Eventually, Rita’s cancer treatment worked wonders and she’s as healthy as ever, with the full support of Tom and their two sons.
