THEY WERE THE STARS OF YESTERDAY, BUT YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT THEY’RE DOING IN RETIREMENT

Ted Danson – 74 Years

There is a general misconception among the masses that acting can’t be taught, and people who make it up to the top are those who’re born talented. If that had been the case, then actors like Ted Danson would have never existed. Yet, there he is known for numerous remarkable performances in television and films like ‘Cheers’ and ‘Three Men and a Baby.’

With a BFA degree from Carnegie Mellon University, Danson has left no stone unturned to become a master of fine arts, which simply gets proven if you see his long list of accolades, including three Golden Globe Awards. Thankfully even in his 70s, he prefers to stay active while playing the lead in ‘Mr. Mayor’ since 2021.

Rhea Perlman – 73 Years

When a performer secures ten ‘Emmy Award’ and seven ‘Golden Globe Award’ nominations for a single role, we’ve got to believe in their acting supremacy. That’s about Rhea Perlman’s portrayal of the feisty Carla Tortelli on ‘Cheers,’ an American sitcom that ran for 11 well-rated seasons, making her a raving favorite among the show’s fans.

During the dawn of Perlman’s career in the early ’70s, she hustled through a string of lesser-known roles like the ‘Broadway’ play, ‘Dracula Sabbath,’ and other films. What followed in later years was an exemplar of on-screen brilliance, and her works including ‘Canadian Bacon,’ ‘Poms,’ and ‘The Sessions’ are proof enough.
