John Besh – ~$8 million
John Besh had earned himself a degree from culinary school before putting it on hold to serve with the Marines in the Gulf War. He continued his culinary education in Germany and France. From there, he became an award-winning chef, enjoying various accolades throughout the 90’s. He then worked with Arkel International to produce easy, ready-to-eat meals for emergency operations, tapping into his experience as a Marine. He later joined The Next Iron Chef, as well as appeared in Top Chef, Food Network Challenge, Top Chef Masters, and more. He’s also published 5 books, which accounts for a good chunk of his $8-million net worth.
