Dancing in the Rain

It is evident from this iconic representation of the scenario at Woodstock that the sporadic rains could not douse the spirits of the four hundred thousand people who gathered for the music festival! While there were a few visitors distracted by all the mud that engulfed the 600-acre farm, the showers usually resulted in the audience breaking into dance!

The only time when rain played a spoilsport was during a musical performance, which saw tarpaulins fail, electrical instruments getting exposed to water, and other noises completely drowning out the artists’ voices.
