The Limited
The Limited is a brand of women’s clothing that was founded in 1963. It reached the peak of its popularity in the 90’s and at that time, they had about 750 stores all over the US. Unfortunately, its popularity waned by the mid-2000s as fast fashion brands like Zara, H&M, and Forever 21 started emerging. The Limited’s bankruptcy attorneys finally declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2017, which led to the closure of its 250 stores. A private equity firm then bought its e-commerce assets, and today, its apparel can only be purchased on their website.
