You may know the woman Tamara Mellon as the British fashion designer and magazine editor who was the co-founder of the Jimmy Choo brand. She also has her own self-named brand of ready-to-wear shoes. In December 2015, the Tamara Mellon brand went into bankruptcy after being unable to pay its almost 200 creditors.
Her former investors famously protested the company’s restructuring plans as it would allow Tamara to create a new company without repaying her former financers. There were also allegations of mismanagement and abuse of company privileges.
